Event Description

Guests with SCI/D share their personal experiences on balancing bladder management with work, travel, dating, and intimacy. Cover practical tips for overcoming challenges, the importance of self-confidence, and strategies for staying active and connected with others.

Mark Fuglevand suffered a C6 incomplete spinal cord injury at the age of 18 due to a diving accident. He has a neurogenic bladder and has used leg bags and performed intermittent catheterization for over 29 years. Mark is married, a father of two boys, a CPA and the owner/designer of an adaptive product solutions company called Abilitease. He enjoys listening to music, working out, barbequing and spending time with his wife and kids. He looks at each day as a new challenge and a new opportunity.

Heidi McKenzie is a T4 paraplegic from a car accident in 2007. She lives in Columbus, OH and loves to travel, play adaptive sports and hangout with friends.
